Findings of Fact

1.                  The United Food and Commercial Workers Local 3000 filed a representation petition concerning the Admissions Specialists at the EvergreenHealth Monroe. The Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) determined the petition was timely filed and accompanied by a sufficient showing of interest. No other organization claimed to represent the employees involved.

2.                  The existing bargaining unit represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 3000 is described as follows:

All full-time and regular part-time employees of EvergreenHealth Monroe (Snohomish County Public Hospital District 1) in the following job classes: Cardiovascular Technologist, Cardiovascular Technologist - Per Diem, Certified Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem, Certified Surgical Tech, Certified Surgical Tech - Per Diem, Clinical Dietitian, Clinical Dietitian - Per Diem, Clinical Dietitian Lead, CT Tech, CT Tech - Per Diem, Endoscopy Tech, Endoscopy Tech - Per Diem, Graduate Pharmacist, Graduate Pharmacist – Per Diem, Imaging Coordinator, Imaging Coordinator - Per Diem, Lead CT Tech, Mammography Tech, Mammography Tech - Per Diem, Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Per Diem, Medical Laboratory Tech (MLT), Medical Laboratory Tech (MLT) - Per Diem, MRI Tech, MRI Tech - Per Diem, Pharmacist, Pharmacist - Per Diem, Coordinator, Pharmacy Coordinator - Per Diem, Pharmacy Intern, Pharmacy Intern - Per Diem, Tech A, Pharmacy Tech A - Per Diem, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist - Per Diem, Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant - Per Diem, Radiology Tech, Radiology Tech - Per Diem, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem, Respiratory Therapist Coordinator, Respiratory Therapist Coordinator - Per Diem, Substance Abuse Disorder Professional, Substance Abuse Disorder Prof - Per Diem, Substance Abuse Disorder Prof Trainee, Substance Abuse Disorder Prof Trainee - Per Diem,Tech, Surgical Tech - Per Diem, Ultrasonographer, Ultrasonographer - Per Diem;  excluding supervisors, confidential employees, and all other employees.

3.                  Because the more than 50 percent showing of interest threshold was met, PERC conducted card check proceedings. The employees were given a free choice in the proceedings. The tally of results was provided to the parties. No meritorious election objections were filed.

4.                  The existing bargaining unit represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 3000 shall be modified to include the Admissions Specialists for a bargaining unit described as follows:

Conclusions of Law

1.                  The unit described in finding of fact 4 is an appropriate unit within the meaning of RCW 41.56.060.

2.                  Representation proceedings were conducted in accordance with RCW 41.56.095 and chapter 391‑25 WAC.
