CERTIFICATION

Faye Guenther, President, for the United Food and Commercial Workers 3000.

Jared Van Kirk, Attorney at Law, Foster Garvey PC, for Valley Medical Center (King Public Hospital District 1).

On June 16, 2009, this agency last certified United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 3000 as the exclusive bargaining representative of employees at King Public Hospital District 1 (d/b/a Valley Medical Center).[1] The bargaining unit is described as:

All full-time and regular part-time professional and technical employees of King County Public Hospital District 1 (Valley Medical Center) in the following classifications: Rad Tech, Rad Tech-ARRT, CT Tech, Mammo Tech, Mammo Tech-ARRT, CV Tech, Ultrasound Tech, Ultrasound Tech-ARDMS, Pulmonary Function Tech, Respiratory Therapy II, Respiratory Therapy I, Surgical Tech, Surgical Tech Certified, Neuro Tech/Scorer, Neuro Tech, Neuro Tech-NR, Med Tech, Med Lab Tech, Medical Tech Coord, PET Tech, Nuclear Medicine Tech, and Nuclear Medicine Tech Lead, excluding supervisors, confidential employees and all other employees.

King Public Hospital District 1, Decision 10443 (PECB, 2009).

On October 21, 2022, the union filed a written disclaimer of all representation rights concerning the Professional and Technical bargaining unit, effective immediately.

ORDER

United Food and Commercial Workers 3000’s request is granted. The certification issued in King Public Hospital District 1, Decision 10443 (PECB, 2009) is withdrawn, and United Food and Commercial Workers 3000 no longer represents the bargaining unit effective November 13, 2022.
