On July 24, 2003, the Washington Federation of State Employees (union) and the Washington State Office of the Secretary of State (employer) jointly filed a petition for clarification of a bargaining unit with the Public Employment Relations Commission under WAC 391-35-026, seeking division of an existing bargaining unit represented by the union. An investigation conference was conducted on August 28, 2003, by Hearing Officer Starr H. Knutson.
On September 11, 2003, the Executive Director divided the historical unit into supervisory and non-supervisory units.[1] The case was left open for a determination on the status of one “digital archives manager” position.
On November 17, 2003, the parties filed a letter with the Commission requesting “the inclusion of the digital archives manager” position. As the parties have resolved the remaining issue, the case will now be closed.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is
ORDERED
1. The “digital archives manager” position is included in the supervisory or non-supervisory bargaining unit in accordance with the agreement of the parties.
2. Case 17708-C-03-1100 is hereby closed.
