ORDER WITHDRAWING
CERTIFICATION

Justin Baptista, Business Rep, for Teamsters Local 58.

Jessica Warren, Human Resources Director, for Cowlitz County.

On January 4, 2022, this agency certified Teamsters Local 58 as the exclusive bargaining representative of employees at Cowlitz County. The bargaining unit is described as:

All full-time and regular part-time nonsupervisory Public Defenders employed by Cowlitz County Office of Public Defense, excluding confidential employees, supervisory employees, and all other employees.

Cowlitz County, Decision 13457 (PECB, 2022).

On January 4, 2023, the union filed a written disclaimer of all representation rights concerning the Public Defender bargaining unit, effective immediately.

ORDER

Teamsters Local 58’s request is granted. The certification issued in Cowlitz County, Decision 13457 (PECB, 2022) is withdrawn, and Teamsters Local 58 no longer represents the bargaining unit.
