CASE 135984-E-22 DECISION 13593 - PECB ORDER WITHDRAWING |
Faye Guenther, President, for the United Food and Commercial Workers 3000.
Jared Van Kirk, Attorney at Law, Foster Garvey PC, for Valley Medical Center (King Public Hospital District 1).
The United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 3000 represents a bargaining unit of employees at King Public Hospital District 1 (d/b/a Valley Medical Center). The Public Employment Relations Commission did not certify the bargaining unit, has not clarified the bargaining unit, and it appears the bargaining unit was established through voluntary recognition. Based on the parties’ current collective bargaining agreement, the bargaining unit is described as:
All regularly employed full-time and part-time clinical pharmacists, registered staff pharmacists, and pharmacy interns excluding supervisors, per diem employees, temporary employees, students in organized training programs (i.e. pregraduates such as externships or clerkships, or postgraduates such as residencies), and all other employees of the employer.
On October 21, 2022, the union filed a written disclaimer of all representation rights concerning the Pharmacy Employee bargaining unit, effective immediately.
ORDER
United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 3000’s request is granted. The United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 3000 no longer represents the bargaining unit effective November 13, 2022.
ISSUED at Olympia, Washington, this 10th day of November, 2022.
