On January 4, 2005, this agency certified the Federal Way Lieutenants Association (union) as the exclusive bargaining representative of commissioned lieutenants employed by the City of Federal Way. City of Federal Way, Decision 8825 (PECB, 2005). At that time the bargaining unit was described as:
All commissioned lieutenants of the City of Federal Way Police Department, excluding supervisors, confidential employees and all other employees.
On December 21, 2020, the union filed a written disclaimer of all representation rights concerning the bargaining unit, effective immediately.
ORDER
The certification issued in City of Federal Way, Decision 8825 (PECB, 2005) is withdrawn, the Federal Way Lieutenants Association’s request is granted, and the Federal Way Lieutenants Association no longer represents the bargaining unit.
