CITY OF YAKIMA

ORDER CLARIFYING BARGAINING UNIT

For clarification of an existing bargaining unit.

 

The City of Yakima and Local 469, International Association of Firefighters have jointly invoked the authority of the Public Employment Relations Commission, seeking amendment of a bargaining unit description specified in a previous order of the Commission (Decision 837 - PECB, issued March 27, 1980). The parties agree that a newly created position entitled "deputy chief" is and should be excluded from the bargaining unit of uniformed firefighters represented by the union.

NOW, THEREFORE, it is

ORDERED

The bargaining unit description for the uniformed personnel bargaining unit is amended to specify:

All uniformed firefighter personnel of the City of Yakima Fire Department, excluding the Chief, Deputy Chief and non-uniformed employees.
