DIRECTION OF ELECTION |
Kirk S. Bond, Attorney at Law, for the union.
Matthew Halliday, Assistant Administrator for Human Resources, for the employer.
On July 23, 2001, United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 44 (union), filed a petition with the Public Employment Relations Commission under Chapter 391-25 WAC, seeking certification as exclusive bargaining representative of certain employees of Skagit County Public Hospital District 1/304 (employer). On June 24, 2002, a cross-check was ordered in Skagit Public Hospital District 1/304, Decision 7785 (PECB, 2002).
Based on information discovered after the order was issued, it is now known that the order was issued in error, and that a cross-check is not the correct method to use in this case. An election is needed to resolve the question concerning representation. This order is issued to correct that error.
DIRECTION OF ELECTION
A representation election shall be conducted by secret ballot, under the direction of the Public Employment Relations Commission, limited to the kidney dialysis technicians.
Issued at Olympia, Washington, on the 16th day of July, 2002.
