ORDER DISMISSING CASE |
On August 16, 2006, the Seattle Housing Authority (employer) filed a petition for a question concerning representation with the Public Employment Relations Commission due to conflicting demands from the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 286 (Local 286) and the Seattle/King County Building and Trades Council requesting bargaining for the property managers at the Seattle Housing Authority.
Two unfair labor practice petitions were filed by Local 286, (Cases 20556-U-06-5236 and 20557-U-06-5237). Processing of this representation case was suspended pending the outcome of those unfair labor practice proceedings. A hearing was conducted and on February 2, 2007, and a decision was issued, Seattle Housing Authority, Decision 9546 (PECB, 2007) which resolved the issues raised in this representation case.
The Executive Director is satisfied that further formal proceedings are not warranted in this case.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is
ORDERED
The petition filed in the above-captioned matter is hereby DISMISSED.
